My mom was over helping me a few days ago and Leilani demanded that she play super heroes with her. Basically running around the backyard "flying" in their capes. They put out a "fire" on her house... phew they saved the day!
I hope I am the kind of mother my mother was to us and Grandma she is to my kids. Thank you for EVERYTHING you do and have done for me and the kids! Mom, you are MY super hero!

when I was that age, I believed that a cape could make me fly, like the stuff on TV, I fantasized about wearing the grown-ups coat and jumping from anything high, like a ladder top or a balcony.
although I didn't have the courage to try it, till I was 7. I broke my leg bone when I landed. That coat was defective, it didn't have super-powers, must have been a cheap imitation made in china.
My girls miss out on so much having only one grandparent interested in their day to day lives. For their happiness, I hope she moves closer to us soon. Thanks for sharing.
